{"id":7346,"date":"2015-12-22T05:28:07","date_gmt":"2015-12-22T05:28:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mfgtechupdate.com\/?p=7346"},"modified":"2015-12-22T05:28:07","modified_gmt":"2015-12-22T05:28:07","slug":"iscar-expands-its-piccocut-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mtuupdate.in\/mtu\/2015\/12\/22\/iscar-expands-its-piccocut-line\/","title":{"rendered":"ISCAR expands its PICCOCUT line"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Highlights <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New PICCO RM\/LM family of inserts for machining small medical parts<\/li>\n<li>New PICCO RHD\/LHD family of inserts for machining hardened steel (up to 65 HRC)<\/li>\n<li>New PICCO RX\/LX family of inserts with reinforced cutting edge for boring<\/li>\n<li>Additional new items in existing insert families<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Following market demand, ISCAR is expanding the PICCO inserts\u2019 application options (new product families) and insert sizes.<br \/>\n<strong>PICCO RM\/LM- For machining small medical parts:<\/strong><br \/>\nAn optimized insert geometry and carbide grade for machining medical parts made from titanium, stainless steel and other difficult to machine materials.\u2028 The new family includes profiling inserts for minimum bore diameter range of 0.5 \u2013 4.0 mm.<br \/>\n<strong>PICCO RHD\/LHD 050 IC902- For machining hardened steel up to 65 HRC <\/strong><br \/>\nAn optimized insert geometry and carbide grade for machining hardened steel &#8211; up to\u202865 HRC.\u2028The new family includes profiling inserts for minimum bore diameters in the range of 2.0 \u2013 7.0 mm.<br \/>\nPICCO RHD\/LHD 050 carbide inserts when compared to equivalent CBN inserts increases as their size (bore diameter) becomes smaller. \u2028The price of the inserts is much lower when compared to equivalent CBN tipped inserts.<br \/>\n<strong>PICCO RX\/LX050- For boring applications <\/strong><br \/>\nISCAR is introducing a new PICCO RX\/LX050 boring family of inserts, featuring a much stronger cutting edge when compared to the existing PICCO R\/L 050 family of inserts that are suitable for both profiling and boring operations. The new inserts provide higher tool life in boring applications.<br \/>\nDue to its stronger design, the new family can be used only for boring applications (increasing the bore size). However, as this is a very popular application and it provides much better performance when compared to the existing 050 boring and profiling inserts, it should be selected as a first choice for boring applications.<br \/>\nThe inserts feature internal cooling channels close to the cutting edge.
