\nThese days, System Team 1 is busy applying the final touches to the 1.9 L\u00a0and 2.0 L engine cylinder block production line for JAC Motors. A series of\u00a0machines customized for JAC Motors is undergoing trial operation to check\u00a0that work pieces are being rolled out as the customer requires in terms of cycle\u00a0time, surface roughness, and allowance, among other factors. A total of 26\u00a0machines have been mobilized for the project. It is the fourth project for which\u00a0Doosan Machine Tools and JAC Motors have joined forces since 2005. The two\u00a0companies have been able to maintain cooperative relations not just because\u00a0of product quality but also because of the trust built up through Doosan\u2019s\u00a0devotion to long-term customer response management. An official of JAC\u00a0Motors said, \u201cWe already had some degree of trust in Doosan Machine because\u00a0of its stable machine operating ratio and machine durability among other\u00a0things. While proceeding with the system line project, we were satisfied with\u00a0Doosan\u2019s technology sharing and its responsive attitudes to our requests for\u00a0additional features to meet our country\u2019s various extra regulations.\u201d Changmin\u00a0Seo, deputy general manager of System Team 1, mentioned a typical episode\u00a0related to the Doosan customer response policy: \u201cWe once had a problem with\u00a0a component installed in an already delivered system line. We embarked upon
\ninternal investigations immediately, and concluded that the same problem\u00a0could happen in other machines as well. So, we replaced all the components\u00a0installed in the line. JAC Motors was surprised by our decision.\u201d An official\u00a0of JAC Motors concurred, adding, \u201cWe were happy about Doosan\u2019s proactive\u00a0response to the issues it was confronted with.\u201d JAC Motors and other customers\u00a0of Doosan Motors are deeply impressed with the company\u2019s acceptance of\u00a0customers\u2019 requests from pre-contract negotiations right up to product delivery,\u00a0punctuality in its delivery promises, responsible after-sales services, and\u00a0fundamental solutions of problems.
\nFor Technological Sophistication<\/strong>
\nBased on such a high degree of customer satisfaction, Doosan Machine Tools\u2019\u00a0system business grew by an annual average of 21% from 2008 to 2011,\u00a0exceeding US$100 billion in sales. Although its growth has slowed down\u00a0somewhat in recent times due to the protracted worldwide economic recession,\u00a0the company has been active in expanding its lines of business, too, and is\u00a0placing particular emphasis on the development of CAD\/CAM-based multitasking\u00a0machining technologies at present.
