Please tell us about your company and its offerings
REGO-FIX stands for Swiss Made Tool Holding Solutions for over 65 years. As inventor of the ER collet back in 1963, we know about the needs for a proper tool holding solution. Thanks to this long-lasting experience and a clear focus on the application, we bring added value to a new level. No matter if we talk about conventional machining with ER collet or high-speed applications with our powRgrip® system, customer satisfaction always stands in the centre. In order to underling this company culture even further in India, we support locally with the best staff possible, commercial and technically.

What are the unique value proposition REGO-FIX has that stands out in front of competition?
As a Swiss manufacturer we can’t convince our customer trough price. Our promises lies in cost per piece, bringing the customer accuracy, process security and finally an economical superior solution. We take a deep look at the application and can recommend the most appropriate solution: Since we offer multiple different tool holding options, we don’t need to defend one single technology. This make our sales very credible in their recommendation.

What are the new developments in toolholding systems?
The general trend goes into managing independent processes. Especially in markets where labour costs are rising and qualified labour is difficult to find, customers are looking for unmanned, safe and process-oriented manufacturing. Nowadays, supervising a process can be done by sensorial tool holders and do not necessarily need the skilled eye of the machine operator. When this same toolholder starts to communicate with the machine and the tool centre, we get a first glimpse of the possibilities of Industry 4.0.

Your views on Indian manufacturing industry. It is said that the industry is growing rapidly, do you think it will have positive impact on machine tool industry?
I am personally always impressed by the dramatic structural changes of the Indian economy: Agriculture, once one of the main GDP feeder, is being segmented by new age branches like IT for instance. India is undergoing a structural segmentation in which also modern CNC machining is affected. These circumstances impact REGO-FIX in a very positive way since we offer adequate tooling solution for the high-tech machining: More performance for a price sensitive, quality-oriented customer. India is home to many toolholding solution providers.

How you plan to compete with the existing players?
In the perspective of the customer it is important to have a wide offer. We believe that customer service is getting more and more important. For us, the sales process doesn’t end when the invoice is being printed, it only starts. Offering superior logistic solutions, repeatable product quality and a good local technical support. Another important factor for REGO-FIX is our warranty commitment: Our powRgrip® collet for instance offers 20’000 cycles (tool changes) and 5 years of warranty, under respect of the absolutely same runout like with the first clamping the customer did once the collet was new.

What kinds of opportunities you see in Indian marketing for toolholding system providers?
Since the trend is going into rising quality machining standards and based on our experience of over 65 years in tool holding manufacturing, we believe we are ready to make that next step in the Indian market. We feel the match of the need and our offering is there. We are building up a strong reputation thanks to our REGO-FIX Team in India. We would be pleased to offer interested Indian customers our services for the challenges of the modern tool clamping, service- and product wise.
